Day 1 – South Yorkshire to the Historic City of Bath

We depart South Yorkshire by comfortable coach, sit back and relax as we journey south towards one of England’s most beautiful and historic cities –
Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On arrival, the afternoon is free to explore this elegant city at leisure. Bath is renowned for its stunning Georgian architecture, honey-coloured Bath stone buildings and rich Roman heritage. A highlight for many visitors is the world-famous Roman Baths, where you can discover the remarkably preserved ancient bathing complex and learn about Bath’s origins as a Roman spa town.

Take time to stroll across the iconic Pulteney Bridge, lined with charming shops and offering picturesque views over the River Avon. Nearby, Bath Abbey dominates the skyline with its magnificent Gothic façade and impressive fan-vaulted ceiling inside. For those who enjoy shopping, the compact city centre offers a mix of independent boutiques, traditional shops and welcoming cafés, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

Later in the day we continue to our hotel for an overnight stay.
