The Winnock Hotel, Drymen

Dating back to the late 18th century, the Winnock Hotel is full of warmth and Highland hospitality. Set in the picturesque village of Drymen, it offers cosy bedrooms, a traditional restaurant, and inviting lounges where you can relax after a day of sightseeing. Surrounded by rolling countryside and close to Loch Lomond, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat with easy access to Scotland’s most scenic areas.

Edinburgh – Full Day Excursion

A full day is devoted to exploring Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital city. Dramatically set between hills and the sea, Edinburgh is rich in history, culture, and stunning architecture. The medieval Old Town and elegant New Town are both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, linked by the famous Royal Mile. Highlights include the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched high on its volcanic rock, and the lively streets filled with historic closes, shops, and cafés. There is ample free time to explore museums, enjoy Princes Street, or simply soak up the unique atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Stirling and The Trossachs – Full Day Excursion

Another day takes you to Stirling, often described as the “Gateway to the Highlands.” Steeped in Scottish history, Stirling is dominated by the magnificent Stirling Castle, one of the country’s most important strongholds and once home to Scottish royalty. Nearby, the city is closely linked to figures such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, with historic battle sites adding to its significance.

From Stirling, the journey continues into The Trossachs, an area renowned for its breathtaking scenery. Often called “the Highlands in miniature,” this region features sparkling lochs, forested glens, and rugged hills.

Passing through charming villages and unspoilt countryside, you’ll experience some of Scotland’s most romantic and tranquil landscapes, offering superb photo opportunities and a true taste of Highland beauty.

This delightful coach holiday combines historic cities, dramatic scenery, and comfortable accommodation, making it a wonderful way to experience the very best of Scotland.
