From this perfect base, you’ll enjoy memorable excursions to Stirling & The Kelpies, and a scenic tour through the Trossachs, Inveraray, and Callander. With hearty meals, traditional Scottish hospitality, and stunning landscapes at every turn, this is Scotland at its most inviting.

The Winnock Hotel, Drymen

Nestled on the village green in the picturesque Drymen, the Winnock Hotel has been offering hospitality to travellers for centuries. Once a bustling coaching inn, today it combines cosy, traditional charm with the comfort of modern amenities — the perfect base for exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs. After a day of sightseeing, unwind in the inviting lounge, enjoy hearty Scottish fare, and soak up the warm, friendly atmosphere.

While the hotel does not have a lift, ground floor rooms are available — simply request these when booking to ensure the best match for your needs.

A Note on All-Inclusive Packages
In keeping with the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015, the supply of alcoholic drinks in All-Inclusive Packages is not unlimited. To ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience for all guests, the hotel permits a maximum of £15 worth of alcoholic drinks per day per guest as part of the package, at the management’s discretion.

    Friday
    Depart your chosen departure point and make our way north, calling at Bedale in North Yorkshire for a coffee stop
    and then a lunch stop at Carlisle, arriving at the Winnock Hotel late afternoon

    Saturday

    Discover Stirling & The Kelpies

    Begin your day in the vibrant city of Stirling, fondly known as the Gateway to the Highlands. Bursting with charm and steeped in centuries of history, Stirling invites you to wander its historic streets, soak up its rich heritage, and capture the spirit of Scotland.

    In the afternoon, your adventure continues at The Helix, home to the world-famous Kelpies — awe-inspiring 30-metre-tall horse-head sculptures that celebrate the strength and beauty of Scotland’s working horses. Step inside the Visitor Centre, where creativity meets heritage, and explore fascinating exhibitions revealing the remarkable artistry behind these giants.

    Treat yourself to something tasty in the café, browse for unique souvenirs in the gift shop, and don’t forget your camera — the Kelpies are even more magical in person.

Sunday

Trossachs, Inveraray & Callander

Set off on a scenic journey through the breathtaking Trossachs, where rolling hills and shimmering lochs create the perfect backdrop to your day. Arrive in Inveraray, a charming lochside town with quirky shops, historic architecture, and plenty of spots to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Our adventure continues to Callander, a picturesque gateway between the Highlands and Lowlands, nestled on the banks of the River Teith. Stroll through its inviting streets, soak in the views, and enjoy the relaxed Highland atmosphere.

As the day winds down, we return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and an evening of entertainment — the perfect end to a day of discovery.


Monday

We depart the hotel after breakfast calling at Gretna Green en route back to South Yorkshire
