Gypsy the Musical, London
Wednesday 15 July 2015

We have just managed to purchase some more tickets but be quick to book

“The most exciting thing I have seen on a stage” (The Times)

Don’t miss Gypsy, one of the greatest ever Broadway musicals, as it transfers to the West End following its sell-out, rapturously acclaimed five-star run at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Imelda Staunton delivers a “knock-out performance” (The Independent) as Momma Rose in Jonathan Kent’s “dazzling revival” (Mail on Sunday), alongside Lara Pulver, who reprises her “stunning” (The Independent) role as Louise. They’ll be joined by Peter Davison as Herb, in this gloriously entertaining musical fable that features “showstopping” (Mail on Sunday) choreography from Stephen Mear.

Based on the true life memoirs of legendary burlesque entertainer, Gypsy Rose Lee, it tells the tale of Momma Rose and her two daughters, Baby June and Louise, trekking across America in their family vaudeville act. But times are changing, audiences are expecting more, and the two girls have their own ambitions in mind. The rise of burlesque is upon them, and nothing will ever be the same again for Momma Rose.

With lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Arthur Laurents and music by Jule Styne, this moving and “scintillating” (The Times) production of Gypsy is the first to be seen in London for 40 years

Harry Potter World

Saturday 22 August 2015

Go behind the scenes of the Harry Potter film series, located at the Studios where it all began
Step on to authentic sets and relive the magic through the eyes of the filmmakers who brought the Harry Potter film series to life.

Platform 9 ¾ – Now open
This March, we’ll be unveiling a 20,000ft² expansion, including the original Hogwarts Express steam engine and a recreation of Platform 9 ¾. The new, permanent section will offer a glimpse into how some of the films’ most iconic scenes were created as well as give you the chance to climb aboard the train’s carriage and to pose with a luggage trolley as it disappears through the platform wall.
Officially opening on Thursday 19th March, the new, must-see section has been redesigned and will be built by many of the crew members who worked on the most successful film series of all time. Every inch of the platform’s glass roof, yellow brick walls and luggage racks, designed by Production Designer Stuart Craig, will be painstakingly reassembled by a team led by Construction Manager Paul Hayes and dressed by Set Decorator Rosie Goodwin. Special Effects Supervisor John Richardson will rig the locomotive with special effects steam.
